USPSA match team raises the bar again

Epic Run Continues at This Month’s USPSA Match — 59 Shooters, Perfect Weather, Uncommon Winning Streak!

Sunday’s USPSA match at Coast Rifle & Pistol Club delivered another thrilling chapter in our local practical shooting scene. With 59 competitors on the line under perfect weather and challenging stages, the energy was high and the scores were tight from start to finish.

This month’s turnout built on the excitement from last month’s biggest crowd in nearly six years, when we saw fantastic weather and strong competition.

🔥 A Streak Worth Noting

What made today extra special was the continued dominance of our current hot shotGabriel Peterson — who not only claimed the overall title again, but has now won three consecutive local USPSA matches. That includes the two prior matches held at other clubs in the region, where many regulars from CRPC and beyond competed. That kind of streak is uncommon in our circuit, especially when each match presents new stages and new challengers.

Competitors praised the layout of today’s stages — a mix of accuracy and speed challenges and dynamic movement sections that kept everyone on their toes. From the poppers that demanded lightning-fast transitions to paper arrays that punished hesitation, shooters had to balance speed and precision on every yard of the course.

Competition Highlights

  • 59 shooters brought their A-game, making every division competitive.

  • Several stages forced even seasoned shooters to rethink their approach mid-course.

  • Gabriel Peterson’s consistency throughout the match underscored exceptional control under pressure.

Whether you’re a seasoned USPSA competitor or you’ve been meaning to check out what practical shooting is all about, this match was a great showcase of the sport’s pace, precision, and camaraderie.
