USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Association) shooting matches are the ultimate test of marksmanship and handgun skill. Whether you're a seasoned shooter or a newcomer to the sport, these matches are designed to challenge and entertain all levels of participants. With a variety of courses of fire, you'll find yourself moving, shooting, and making split-second decisions, while balancing speed and accuracy to maximize your score. And with the camaraderie and support of fellow competitors, you'll experience a sense of community that is truly unique to the shooting sports. So, if you're ready to put your skills to the test and join a thriving community of shooting enthusiasts, come out and experience the thrill of USPSA shooting matches at Coast Rifle and Pistol.
Matches are held every 3rd Sunday of the month. There's a division for almost any centerfire handgun you might want to shoot. We normally shoot 5 stages, including one USPSA classifier. Registration begins at 8:15 am and the match starts promptly at 9 am. We are usually done by 12:30. The cost for a match is just $20 for CRPC members and $25 for non-members. Membership in USPSA is not required at the local level, but being a member will enable you to obtain a classification, so you can compare yourself to everyone else in the organization.
What Do I Need to Compete:
- Semi-automatic centerfire handgun, revolver or Pistol Caliber Carbine (9mm)
- At least three magazines for your gun, five or more for low-capacity divisions (Single Stack, Production)
- Shooting belt, holster that covers the trigger guard and magazine pouches
- Gun bag/case for PCC
- Bring 200 rounds of ammo, but you will probably shoot 150 or less
- Eye and ear protection
