Rimfire Ranges

CRPC has two ranges dedicated to .22 Rimfire use. Both rifles and pistols are allowed at these two ranges. All shooting must occur from the concrete pad areas. No shooting may be done anywhere down range from the concrete pads.

All shooters are reminded to police their areas after they are done shooting. This means taking down any paper targets, sweeping up brass, and throwing away any trash created. Leave the range cleaner than you found it.

ALL RANGES ARE UNDER 24 HOUR VIDEO SURVEILLANCE.

Range 1 — Rimfire rifles and pistols ONLY

This range features a concrete pad spanning the width of the range and a covered firing line. This range has LED lights for shooting after dark during official club functions and clear marine-grade vinyl curtains that roll up and down at the back of the shooting pavilion to block the wind when necessary. Electric fans provide additional cooling during the warm summer months. Two indoor restrooms are located between Ranges 1 and 2.

Range 1 is 50 yards deep and has target boards across the entire back berm. This range is used for Rimfire Benchrest matches and the Rimfire League competition, but is open to all range members and guests outside of these scheduled competitions. Ten two-sided concrete shooting benches are provided at the firing line.

.22 Short
.22 Long
.22 Long Rifle

Targets Allowed:

Paper
Cardboard

Firearms NOT Allowed:

Any firearm other than a rimfire rifle or rimfire pistol

Calibers NOT Allowed:

Any caliber other than .22 Short, .22 Long, or .22 Long Rifle

Targets NOT Allowed:

Cans, bottles, plastic, or glass items
User-provided steel
Clay pigeons
Exploding targets (Tannerite, etc.)
Anything other than paper or cardboard

Range 2 — Rimfire rifles and pistols ONLY

This range features a concrete pad spanning the width of the range and a covered firing line. Electric fans provide additional cooling during the warm summer months. Two indoor restrooms are located between Ranges 1 and 2.

Range 2 is 100 meters deep and has target boards at 50, 75, and 100 meters. This range is used for general target shooting, Rimfire Benchrest matches, and 22 Silhouette Competition, but is open to members and guests outside scheduled competitions. Steel rails are placed at appropriate distances for the metal silhouette animal targets. Twelve two-sided concrete shooting benches are provided at the firing line.
